Anwaar Hussain did his LLB from Punjab Law College-University of the Punjab in the year 1997, obtaining university distinctions in all three parts of the course; stood first in LLB Part-I, second in LLB Part-II and fifth in LLBPart-III. Scored record 1237/2000 marks in three years LLB course.
After obtaining LLB degree, he completed his LLM from University of McGill, Canada in the year 2002-2003 with specialization in International Business and Trade law.
Mr. Anwaar also obtained a postgraduate diploma in Labour Laws (DLL) and Intellectual Property Laws (DIPL) from University of the Punjab where securing top positions (First) in said diplomas. In 1998, he also appeared in last composite examination of Master in Political Science and secured overall fifth position.
He has also attended Public Interest Environmental law conference in Oregon USA and got a fellowship of E-Law.
Another dimension of his career is teaching law. Since October 1998, He has been lecturing at Pakistan College of Law, Lahore till date. He also lectured at Punjab Law College (2006-2007) and Superior Law College as well. He is adjunct faculty at Punjab Judicial Academy and MPDD, Punjab.
He has rendered services to the Government of Punjab, Law Department as Legislative Draftsman. After putting in 12 years of law practice He was appointed as Assistant Advocate General Punjab by in may 2014 despite fact that he was politically not aligned to the government and later on promoted as Additional Advocate General and served till 06-12-2018 whereafter he joined the Firm as Partner.
He has been part of historic commissions namely Wild Life Commission, Climate Change Commission, SMOG commission, Child Care Commission and Houbara Bustard Commission by the Honourable Lahore High court.
He has been enrolled as advocate Supreme Court in 2015 and has about 45 reported cases to his credit. In few cases, he has been appointed as amicus (friend of court) as well.
